On the Rio: Delroy Wilson ~ Doing My Thing
Today was my last full day in Shanghai. Sunday is my flight home.
My team threw me a fabulous farewell dinner (I ate turtle witout knowing it...not too bad) and then we went out to a disco and I learned a new dice drinking game. It was quite the emotional evening. They made me a picture book - everyone provided a picture of themselves, and then they all wrote a few words. It's so touching.
After the Li River cruise we ended up in the city Yangshuo.
It was so touristy, that a few of us (an Austrian couple living in Qingdao and a French man living in Hong Kong) convinced our guide to take us out of the city.
So we went "rafting". These are a minority group of the region.
The highlight was watching the fisherman use Cormorant birds to do the fishing.
They tie a string around the birds neck, and then when it dives in to get a fish, he can't swallow it.
And here I am with an 80 year old woman in her 500 year old house.
