Listening to: Brett Dennen ~By and By
One evening for our safari break, we stopped by what became affectionately known as "Hippo Café".

But there also was a turtle enjoying the scenery.
As well as some yellow Weavers that make intricately woven nests. Usually the male birds weave the nests and use them as a form of display to lure prospective females.

We had to keep our eyes open once the hippos started exiting the swim hole at dusk.

14 March 2015 ~ Mocho-Choco-Roco
Listening to: Ray Charles & Norah Jones ~ Here We Go Again
During our morning safari drives, we'd stop for a snack and Mocho-Choco-Roco. This is a cup of coffee, hot chocolate and amarula. Tasty!
Amarula is made from the exotic marula fruit, found only on the sub-Saharan plains of Africa, where it grows in the wild for just a few weeks of the year. Not just totally delicious, it’s also rich in vitamin C, potassium, calcium and magnesium, as well as protein.
While our true scout was busy making us our MCRs, Kathy took the helm.
