5 October 2013 ~ Connaught in Daylight & Lunch in Lacock

Listening to:  Afro-Cuban All Stars - Sabrosura Natural (2009-11-06 Arden Theatre, St. Albert, Alberta, Canada)

Here are views from the apartment in the daylight.

I can see the harbor from my balcony.

Albert Park and the University of Auckland.

Sky Tower.

After Stonehenge, we stopped for lunch in the historic village of Lacock.

Lunch was provided at the George Inn, which dates back to circa 1361.

This pub is famous for its grand open fire place with a dog wheel, when meat was cooked on a spit which was turned by the wheel using specially bred dogs called Turnspit.

Wadworth is a regional brewery founded in 1875 in Devizes, Wiltshire, England.

Enjoyed one with lunch.

I ordered the traditional "bangers and mash" (sausages and mashed potatoes).

Good selection of beers on tap, and I considered doing a flight, but the tour must go on.
