United Buddy Bears were created in 2002 by a German couple Eva and Klaus Herlitz to promote love, diversity and harmony. They invited 120 artists from different countries to design the bears - each shows a particular art style of each country.

Jackie Chan got to know these adorable bears when he was filming in Germany. He was so impressed by the message it delivers and decided to bring some to Hong Kong.

The United Buddy Bears have raised over HK$4,800,000 in donation in Hong Kong. Beneficiaries include UNICEF, Community Chest and Jackie Chan Charitable Foundation.
