4 August 2012 ~ Seoul Tower

Listening to: Bernie Worrell ~ Straight Ahead (Funk of Ages)

Since there was short amount of time to see any of the Seoul sites, my co-worker and  decided that after work we would go to the Seoul Tower, since it was open until 11pm.

We took public transportation, which was massive but easy to navigate once we knew which lines to transfer to and our end-point.s

This is the green line that was just a few blocks from the hotel.

This is the entire metro train map.

I loved the sign that showed you how soon the train would be approaching. On the right hand video monitor you will see the moving train and upon arrival you hear a little song.

The tower is located of wooded Namsan park. Sorry, but my pictures did not turn out great.

We had to ride a cable car up to the top.

This is part of the Beacon Hill Fortress wall.

And a lovely pavilion. We noticed couples wearing the same clothes and apparently this is the trend for newly engaged or married persons.

This points you in directions.

At first glance we thought these were decorated Christmas trees, but they are "lock" trees. I saw this in China as well. Love notes are attached to locks and the keys are thrown over the edge, to prevent the love lock from ever being broken.

Unfortunately I did not figure out a way to rotate this video, so it is sideways. But every night they put on this really cool show.
