2 Mar 2012 ~ BBQ in Taipei
Listening to: Plants and Animals ~ Song of Love (End of That)
Took the 1.5 hour flight from Hong Kong to Taipei today. The weather is warm (mid-60s) but cloudy, with some drizzle tonight.
It feels GREAT to be on vacation. I got to the hotel around 3pm and took a nap. I was picked up from the hotel at 6pm to out for Mongolian BBQ dinner.
There were only 2 other people on the "tour", a couple in their mid to late 60s from about 60km west of Cologne, Germany. They were very nice and we had a fun dinner.
We had a hot pot at the table for various meats and vegetables. In the bowl I had mongolian-style cooked beef, bean sprouts, carrots, cabbage, onions, chili peppers and pineapple, with soy and ginger sauces, garlic and lemon. Yummy! And I also had a serving of fried rice, noodles, and dumplings. Served with an ice cold local Taiwan Beer (not a unique name, but tasty none the less).
