2/4/2007 ~ Bangkok: Teak Wood Carving

On the Rio: Stevie Wonder ~ Higher Ground
The daytrip continued with a stop at a National Teak Wood carving shop. I got to see artists at work, producing pieces for various international clients - both individuals and organizations.
Here is a carver working on a Buddha.

Here is a work in progress.

And a finished piece.

Showing details. Then, it was finally time for lunch. I ate at the floating restaurant jrqueen.
This was my view during lunch.
I was served soup, sweet & sour chicken and sauteed vegetabes, as well as an egg/chicken dish with sprouts. Very delicious.
Here are the signs designating male/female restrooms.
